Almost 30 different kinds of birds were spotted at Hall Place during an annual bird watch event.
More than 100 people turned out on January 26 to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) Big Garden Birdwatch to try out the new hide in the grounds of the stately property and help count species.
The RSPB organises the event each year to monitor the state of Britain’s bird life.
Jambs Owls Display, a company based at Hall Place, had up 12 different birds in the greenhouse for the public to meet and hold.
Bexley RSPB member Martin Burke said: “The day and the whole event was a great success. More than 100 people turned up to see the new hide and try out the binoculars and telescopes and many have since been back.”
