A DRIVER is to appear in court for careless driving that resulted in the death of a 16-year-old boy.

A DRIVER is to appear in court for careless driving that resulted in the death of a 16-year-old boy.

Alex Ludlow, an Eltham College student of Elmstead Lane, Chislehurst, was hit by a car in his own street on the afternoon of Saturday, September 22.

Mr Ludlow died in the Princes Royal University Hospital from serious head injuries. David Chapple, 26, of Mill Place, Chislehurst, was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with driving without due care and attention. He is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on July 3.
