RUNNERS can get free entrance to a 13-mile half-marathon if they raise money for charity.

RUNNERS can get free entrance to a 13-mile half-marathon if they raise money for charity.

Residents, workers and students in Greenwich can apply for places in Run To The Beat, a music-orientated run starting and finishing at the O , Greenwich Peninsula, on October 5.

Greenwich council has 200 tickets worth £30 for those willing to raise at least £150 for its Starting Blocks Charity, providing bursaries for aspiring young athletes.

Run To The Beat has already attracted 10,000 runners who will run from the former Dome, into Woolwich, through Charlton to Greenwich Park, then back to the O .
