Celebrity television chef Sally Bee was the guest of honour as a Bexley-based cardiac support group celebrated its first anniversary.

Ace of Hearts held the event at the Crayford Community Centre and Sally told her survival story after suffering multiple heart attacks.

She revealed her healthy living secrets and hearty cookery, which has kept her alive and kicking and given her back her quality of life.

Sally also signed copies of her new book, The Secret Ingredient, and donated raffle prizes.

Other guests included the leader of Bexley Council, Cllr Teresa O’Neill.

The organisation next meets on Wednesday, April 10 at Frognal House in Frognal Lane, Sidcup, next to Queen Mary’s Hospital, from 1pm to 3pm.
