CON artists will be one step closer to getting caught out now residents can drop their scam letters into 'scamnesty' bins.

CON artists will be one step closer to getting caught out now residents can drop their scam letters into 'scamnesty' bins.

Eight specialist bins will be placed around Bexley next Monday for two weeks in a bid by the council and the Office of Fair Trading to catch any con artists preying on vulnerable residents.

Any potential scam mailing can be put in the bins and any electronic scams can be emailed to ts.duty@bexley.

The bins are due to be at Bostall Library, King Harold's Way, Bexleyheath; Blackfen Library, 7-9 Blackfen Parade, Blackfen Road, Sidcup; North Heath Library, Mill Road, Erith; Sidcup Library, Hadlow Road, Sidcup; Welling Library, Bellegrove Road, Welling; Thamesmead Library, Binsey Walk, Thamesmead and Care Partners Trust, 151 Crayford Road, Crayford.
