More than 80 beers and ciders up for tasting

Real ales from across the county and beyond will be on offer at the Bexley Beer Festival from tomorrow.

Golden Wobbler, from Gravesend brewer Millis, and Ginger and Chocolate Stout, from the Caveman microbrewery in Swanscombe, will be among more than 80 of varieties of beer and cider on offer.

The festival, which is in its tenth year, is run by volunteers, with support from the Campaign for Real Ale.

Spokesman Jonathan Cowie said: “The fesival is put on by souls who are passionate about real ale.

“Many of these beers are not widely available locally, which makes the festival a rare opportunity to sample some of the finest of the UK’s brewery products.”

The festival will take place from tomorrow until Saturday at the Old Dartfordians sports club in Bourne Road. For more details visit
