The second charity event to raise money for two heart charities remembering Bexleyheath schoolboy Philip Lamin takes place on Friday (July 5).
A concert at his former Bexleyheath Academy school in Woolwich Road will hope to swell the coffers of Cardiac Risk in the Young and the Arrhythmia Alliance after the success of a charity football match last month.
The game at Erith Sports Centre raised £3,000 for the charities and more than 600 Bexleyheath Academy students, staff and parents attended.
Philip collapsed and died from a cardiac arrest while playing football with his friends on February 5 this year.
As the Bexley Times reported, cardiac arrest victim and former footballer Fabrice Muamba, who is an ambassador for the Arrhytmia Alliance, sent a letter offering his condolences to the school and Philip’s friends.
Tickets are £5 each for the event which starts from 6pm and includes a buffet. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
