Seven to stand trial over Erith illegal working raids

Seven people have been charged following raids at an Erith security firm last October in an illegal working investigation, and will stand trial later this year.

All are due to appear before Woolwich Crown Court on Monday, November 11 having appeared at the same court last Wednesday.

Ayinla Alhaji, 52, of no fixed abode, has been charged with conspiracy to commit fraud and facilitate immigration, and the other six have all been charged with conspiracy to facilitate illegal immigration.

They are: Anthony Okoh, 44, of Floathaven Close, Thamesmead; Sandra Okoh, 31, of Salisbury Road, Dartford; Prosper Sithole, 34, of Woburn Close, Thamesmead; Obey Makusha, 32, of Sandpiper Close, Greenhithe; Victor Chiazor, 50, of Nightingale Heights, Woolwich; and Parvinder Basra, 42, of Donaldson Road, Woolwich.

Raids were carried out on October 18 last year at a number of addresses, including in Floathaven Close, Sandpiper Close and security firm Blue Feathers Guarding Ltd, based in Veridion Way Erith.
