A MAN accused of sexually assaulting a child on New Year s Eve is due to enter a plea at Crown Court next month.

A MAN accused of sexually assaulting a child on New Year's Eve is due to enter a plea at Crown Court next month. Joseph Lyttle, 29, of Coltness Crescent, Abbey Wood, appeared at Woolwich Crown Court last Wednesday, accused of two counts of abusing a child.

The defendant, who allegedly sexually assaulted a child under 13 on New Year's Eve 2006 and New Year's Day 2008, was granted bail until May 27.

If he denies the charges, Lyttle is expected to stand trial for four days from December 27.
