A young Arsenal fan from Sidcup fulfilled his dreams when he was selected to be the team’s mascot for an important match.

Jude Patton, 10, was chosen at random from 30,000 to walk out with Arsenal before their recent match with Manchester United.

He met the players, bagging autographs and a brand new kit before the game on April 28 at the Emirates Stadium.

Jude said: “It was brilliant to have been chosen to be the mascot and to walk the team out onto the pitch, especially for a game like Man United.

“Getting to meet all the players was the best part of the day though.”

Jude was entered into the draw because he is a member of Arsenal’s junior supporters club, the Junior Gunners,

Star player Theo Walcott said: “It was good to meet Jude ahead of the match and give him a behind scenes look at how things look on matchday.

“I know I’d have loved to do something like that when I was a kid.”
