A conman posing as a water engineer stole £80 from a 94-year-old in Sidcup.

The woman received a caller at her door on March 28 who stated there was a problem with the water pressure. He asked to come in to test the water system then requested the victim go upstairs and run the taps while he did the same downstairs.

After he left the victim found that £80 was missing from her purse.

The bogus water official is described as a white male in his 40s, good looking, approximately 6ft 2ins tall, well-dressed and wearing a tweed cap.
