Mike Roads, 50, Val Roads, 45, and their daughters Bethany, 16, and Zoe, 9, of Sidcup, were picked from the one million subscribers to TalkTalk TV to join the celebration.

They enlisted the help of TV presenter Caroline Flack to treat the family to a stay at The Ritz, a shopping spree at Harrods and some cases of champagne.

Caroline said: “I, like the Roads, absolutely love TV. It is a big part of family enjoyment and so rewarding; as a viewer you can laugh, cry and learn through the box. Today TalkTalk TV took rewarding TV viewers to another level as they gave one of their one million TV customers a millionaire lifestyle. I am proud to be part of such a big milestone.”

TalkTalk’s Tristia Harrison added: “We’re thrilled that over one million homes across Britain have chosen YouView from TalkTalk. The TV service is proving popular with families in search of great entertainment without the price tag. We couldn’t have got here without the help of each and every one of our customers, so it seemed fitting that we said thanks by rewarding a TalkTalk family with another premium experience that doesn’t break the bank.”
