A stilt lady, a Santa’s grotto and a friendly barn owl were some of the entertainments provided as part of the Sidcup High Street Christmas Festival.

Shoppers were spoilt for choice on Saturday and could also turn their attention to a musical sleigh manned by members of Rotary Club Sidcup, a singing group and the Merton Court Choir.

Adults were able to enjoy a free mince pie and a glass of mulled wine thanks to Waitrose.

There has also been a Christmas Shop for people to enjoy in the High Street which will be relaunched as Sidcup & Co, a mixed use business space, in the New Year.

Traders interested in using the site for business events or workspace can contact the In Store for Sidcup team by email at or phone 020 3045 4991.

The In Store for Sidcup programme is funded by the Mayor of London Outer London Fund and Bexley Council.
