A Sidcup man’s holiday on the Algarve was made even more special when he learned he had won a £92,000 Aston Martin.

Robin Parker found out about the win just days before his 50th birthday, while he was holidaying in Portugal with his family.

He had entered a competition at the airport on the way out to the Algarve and was stunned when he found out he had won the car, along with £10,000 in cash.

“You’ve got to be kidding, this stuff doesn’t happen to me,” he said. “I’m 50 later this week - what a birthday present!”

The company that ran the competition, BOTB, surprises a winner with a dream car every week and has given away cars worth over £19 million since it was founded in 1999.
