Sidcup Olympian Steve Backley launched a new charity partnership on Friday.

He was joined by Olympic rower Zac Purchase and Paralympic equestrian star Sophie Christiansen to support Together for Short Lives, which works with children’s hospices across the country to ensure every child and their family has the best possible care when they need it.

Backley shot to fame by winning medals at three different Olympics in the javelin and is also a former world record holder.
