Pupils from a performing arts school in Sidcup performed in front of a 1,000-strong audience in Southsea on June 5.

The youngsters, from Stagecoach Theatre Arts, put on a show entitled One Nation at the Kings Theatre, performing Survivor by Destiny’s Child and Salute by Little Mix, among other songs.

The school’s principal, Lisa Maddocks, said: “It’s been great watching the students prepare for the show and I felt so proud to see them on stage.

“It is a huge confidence boost to perform in front of such a large audience. It was a fantastic and varied show and I know that the parents, family and friends in the audience were all just as proud as I was whilst watching.”
