Sidcup woman Marina Snelling has been honoured by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) for her services to the charity.

She has been running the BHF sponsored swim at Sidcup leisure centre for the past 14 years in support of thr charity.

Marina said: “I am very proud to receive this award. Thank you to everyone who has worked with me and supported this event with me over the years.”

This year, the sponsored swim raised a total of £6000 for the charity, whose mission it is to play a leading role in the fight against disease of the heart and circulation.

Next year Sidcup Leisure Centre’s sponsored swim will take place on Saturday, March 16. For more information visit http://www.bhf.org.uk.
