Rink will be open at The Broadway until Monday

Star skaters showed off their skills at The Broadway in Bexleyheath at the opening of its skating rink.

Members of the Meridian Artistic Roller Skating Club, based in Orpington, helped Bexley Lord Mayor Howard Marriner open the rink for half-term.

Centre manager Peter Sedge said: “We’re delighted to be able to provide this facility for youngsters over half term as it will give many of them an opportunity to try out a new sport. And who knows, we may discover another future roller skating star here in Bexleyheath.”

The rink is in the middle of the centre, near Costa Coffee, and will be open until next Monday, from 10am to 4pm each day.

People will also be able to enter a competition to win £500 of vouchers to spend in the centre.
