Orchard Primary School in Sidcup has been donated 30 high-visibility vests by the local Specsavers to help keep its pupils safe.

The stores assistant manager Neetu Sharma visited the store on Thursday (May 9) and the vests will help children to be easily seen when they are on school trips or when they walk to and from school.

The school’s headteacher Amanda Lavelle said: “The children are delighted with their new vests and will get a lot of use out of them. We are very grateful to Specsavers for helping us to keep our pupils safe.”

Ebby Demi-Ejegi, store director at Sidcup Specsavers, said: “It was fantastic for the team to meet all the children and we hope that the new vests will come in handy and help keep the children safe when they’re out and about.”
