A GANG of six who kidnapped two friends of singer Lilly Allen and held them hostage for a week have been jailed for a total of 53 years.

The 25-year-old and 18-year-old victims, who cannot be named, were handcuffed and bundled into a car boot as they closed a sports shop in Ladbroke Grove, West London.

They were taken to a flat in Greenhaven Drive, Thamesmead, on August 2 last year where they were pistol-whipped, forced to watch torture films and told they would be shot in the head if relatives did not pay a ransom.

Ringleader Joseph Hadji, 27, of Ashmore Road, Queen's Park, was jailed on Monday for 10 years. Public school-educated Thijseen Johns-Elliot, 28, of Siddons Road, Forest Hill, was jailed for 12 years.

Virgil Percival, 36, of Northwold Road, Stoke Newington, was jailed for an indefinite period for public protection and must serve at least seven years. Jason Goode, 27, of Verdant Lane, Catford, was jailed for six years.

Ashanti Kumpati, 28, who rented the stronghold in Thamesmead, and his friend Paul Wigan, 29, of Thomas Lane, Catford, were both jailed for nine years.

On August 9 last year, officers arrested four of the gang outside the stronghold, which led Allen to publicly thank the police when she was co-hosting the GQ Men of the Year awards.

In his victim statement, the younger of the two victims told the court: "I thought they were going to kill me, especially in the last few days. was terrified throughout and still have vivid flashbacks.
