Police find cannabis at Thamesmead home

Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer in Bexley after a raid in which dozens of bags of cannabis were seized.

Officers swooped on the address in Hartslock Drive in the early hours of last Wednesday after an anonymous tip-off, seizing cash, drug paraphernalia and drugs which looked to be ready to be sold.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Thamesmead East Sergeant Luke Thomas, who is in charge of the investigation, said: “Today we have made a dent in the profit of drug dealers.

“We urge anyone with information about crime to contact us or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
