THIS week our Help A Pet appeal is looking for homes for two kittens, a cat and a guinea pig.

Kittens Brian and Sweetie are about seven-months-old.

Anim-Mates usually re-homes kittens in pairs.

However, due to Brian and Sweetie not being socialised in their early days, they are still a little timid.

Because of this, and for their benefit, they will be re-homed singly or, if a new owner has the time and patience, as a pair.

If you want to adopt only one kitten, it would be beneficial if there already was a cat in your home.

The kittens have started their vaccinations, have been neutered and microchipped and are not suitable to be homed where there are children.

Their mother Niamh (pronounced Neeve) - a domestic shorthaired black cat - also needs a home.

As she is almost semi-feral, Niamh will need a tolerant owner who will let her come around in her own time.

Guinea pig Treacle is about 18 months old and was unwanted when her owners broke up and neither was able to take their girl with them.

If you can give a home to Brian, Sweetie, Niamh or Treacle, please call Teresa on

01634 271456 or 07743 331397.
