A PERVERT who secretly filmed naked girls taking a shower has been jailed for three years.

A PERVERT who secretly filmed naked girls taking a shower has been jailed for three years.

Tom Cole, 67, formerly of Main Road, Sidcup, installed a mobile phone camera in a light fitting so he could make vile videos of two youngsters.

One of the victims, aged 15, started drinking alcohol when she found out what had happened and now blames Cole for ruining her life.

Police raided his former Sidcup home on April 14 last year after receiving a tip-off from an internet service provider that someone at the house had visited a child porn website.

They found more than 500 child porn images on his computer with video footage of youngsters suffering sickening abuse.

Cole, who once taught archery with the scouts and in schools, was jailed for three years at Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday after he admitted a string of voyeurism and child porn offences.

Judge Stephen Robbins told him: "Courts, when passing appropriate sentences, have to reflect the absolute revulsion felt by the public and these girls and their families.

"You know the time has come when you must be punished for these entirely vile and reprehensible offences that you have committed.

"In particular, the voyeurism offences were gross breaches of trust.

"These offences are so serious that only immediate custodial sentences, and lengthy ones at that, can be appropriate."

Police found that Cole had installed a mobile phone camera in a light fitting above his shower.

His computers also contained 489 still child porn images and 55 videos - including 13 stills and eight videos at level four - the second highest category of abuse.

One of the videos depicted an eight-year-old girl suffering horrifying sexual abuse.

Cole also possessed extreme pornographic images showing adults engaged in sexual activity with animals.

Since the offences, married Cole has moved away from the Sidcup area to Enbrook Valley in Folkestone.

He admitted 14 counts of downloading indecent images, two counts of voyeurism and one of possessing extreme pornographic material. Cole was also placed on the sex offenders' register for life and handed a lifetime sexual offences prevention order banning him from seeing children under 18 without the informed permission of their parents and using the internet to contact children.
