A budding filmmaker will be documenting Thamesmead Town FC's games this season.

Farrell Stanlick, 14, joined the free filmmaking club at The Link run by local film production company Pixelform Studios over a year ago was specially selected for the role because of her camera operating skills and her love of football.

Head of production at Pixelform Studios Michael Wearing said: “Thamesmead Town were keen to have more community involvement in the club and using one of our film club members to capture the games was a simple and effective way to do this.”

Farrell said “I love football and I love filmmaking, I never thought I’d get the opportunity to combine my two passions.”

Her handy work is used by the manager Keith McMahon to review the team’s performance. Highlights can be seen on the football club’s web site thamesmeadtownfc.com.

The Link’s film club runs every Thursday during term time from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and gives young people aged 11 to 19 the opportunity to use professional standard equipment under the tuition of industry professionals. Email info@pixelformstudios.com or phone 07428 647683 for more information.
