Teenagers bailed over Erith murder

Eleven arrested; six bailed

Three teenagers have been bailed in connection with a murder in Thamesmead over which 11 people have been arrested.

A man in his 20s died after being shot in Erebus Drive, Erith, in the early hours of Sunday. Two women, aged 26 and 24, and four men, three aged 19 and one aged 25, have been released on police bail until next month.

Police came across the victim on their way to the address after shots were heard at around 4.30am.

He and another man were in a blue Ford Focus which had stopped in the road in Western Way, along with a grey Audi A3 with another man in.

The man was taken to a London hospital, but died a couple of hours later. He has not been formally identified.

Five other men, all in their twenties, were arrested but released with no further action. The two men in the cars with the victim were not arrested.
