As summer draws to a close, community organisation Trust Thamesmead is celebrating a successful season of activities which kept schoolchildren entertained throughout the long break.

There were scores of events on offer in the Boredom Busters programme, including football, bat hunts and zumba.
Rounding off the summer of fun at The Link community centre, in Belvedere Road, was a four-day netball course and a week-long film project, which is in the process of being edited for a possible grant.
The Link centre manager, Mark Blundell, said: “It was fantastic to see so many young people getting involved in activities in Thamesmead and the film project highlights the good work many young people are putting into their community.”
The centre runs a weekly film project by Pixelform Studios from its premises under the roundabout in the sky in Thamesmead, as well as other activities including the motor mechanics Archway Project, theatre street performing arts and sports.
