A young man from Thamesmead has been found not guilty at the Old Bailey of murdering a man in a nightclub.

Danny Walker, 34, of Haldane Road, along with Gavin Allen, 32, of no fixed abode, were found not guilty yesterday of the murder of Hassan Mohammed Omer Isman.

Isman, from Poplar in east London, died in hospital after being shot multiple times in the Avalon nightclub on Shaftesbury Avenue on Boxing Day in 2013.

The club subsequently had its licence revoked by Westminster City Council.
