Tories hold Bexleyheath and Crayford

THE Conservatives have held Bexleyheath and Crayford.

THE Conservatives have held Bexleyheath and Crayford.

David Evennett, the Conservative Party candidate, received 21,794 votes, a 50 per cent share of the vote.

Labour candidate Howard Dawber received 11450 votes, and Lib Dem Karelia Scott received 5502.

Mr Evennett said: "I shall fight long and hard for the people and their interests. It's a great day for the Conservatives.

"We have a great opportunity to have change to make our country better for all the people."

Stephen James for the British National Party received 2042 votes, John Dunford for the UK Independence Party won 1,557 votes, John Griffiths, the English Democrat candidate received 466 votes and Adrian Ross, Green, received 371 votes.
