A WEEKEND community festival is due to be held this summer.

A WEEKEND community festival is due to be held this summer.

Barnehurst Festival, a celebration of living and working in Barnehurst, is due to be held at St Martin's Church, in Erith Road, Barnehurst, on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28.

The main round of events are to start at 10.30am on Saturday and include a parade through Barnehurst, 'arena performances', crafts stalls, a barbeque at 5pm, and a barn dance at 6pm.

An open air Sunday morning worship will be held the following day at 10.30am, followed by a picnic on the adjoining Scout Field.
