A 20-YEAR-OLD man died after being hit by a train.

James Cawley, 20, from Erith, died at Bexleyheath train station on Sunday, August 9 at approximately 7.48pm.

Police are not treating the death involving the 7.07pm Charing Cross to Dartford train as suspicious.

The London Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew, an officer and an air ambulance doctor in a car but Mr Cawley died before they arrived.

An inquest was opened and adjourned at Croydon Coroners Court last Tuesday. A file for the coroner will be prepared by the British Transport Police.
