Young people enjoying a dance class with Trust Thamesmead


Trust Thamesmead have being helping youngsters beat boredom during half-term with a range of activities.

They included courses in football, photography, gym sessions, theatre, dance and motor mechanics this week.

Trust Thamesmead organised the events with its sister organisations The Link and Sporting Club Thamesmead.

The Link’s deputy manager Shell Thomas said: “Children and young people have engaged in fun and educational workshops all week where they have developed their skills and knowledge, which we hope they enjoyed and encourage them to attend more activities.”

Marie Monnet, 10, who took part in Theatre Street Performing Art’s drama workshop, said: “The drama workshop was brilliant. We went through different news cuttings and then chose a topic.

“It was really fun and the studio is fantastic.”
