Two men saved from Erith flat fire as police investigate blaze

The fire started on Friday night

Firefighters and Met Police officers are investigating after a fire which broke out last week.

On Friday, flats in South Road, Erith caught alight, calling crews into action.

London Fire Brigade was called to the scene at around 9.50pm on Friday.

Two men inside were led to safety by firefighters, while another two men and a woman had left the property before crews arrived.

The blaze was brought under control by 10.50pm.

Part of the ground floor of the flats was damaged by the fire.
