Two men have appeared in court in connection with an alleged knife incident in Sidcup High Street.

Jason Shepherd, 21, and Jake Martin, 19, both of Sidcup, appeared before Bexleyheath Magistrates’ Court on Friday (May 17).

Both have been charged with possessing an offensive weapon while Shepherd, of Mallard Walk, has been charged with affray and Martin, of Waring Road, had been charged with driving without insurance.

Last Wednesday Bexley police were called to Sidcup High Street by a CCTV operator following reports of a knife being brandished.

Shepherd and Martin were arrested the same evening.

Neither suspect entered a plea and both have been remanded in custody to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday/
