Prison guard Sam Bailey, who grew up in Bexley, will take to the X Factor stage live for the first time tonight - and she has revealed what she will be singing.

The 35-year-old mum will belt out Jennifer Rush’s The Power of Love for the 80s themed show.

She was a student at Cleeve Park School in Bexley Road, Sidcup, but now lives in Leicestershire

Sam is down to the final 12 and will hope to wow judges Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne.

She takes to the stage at 8pm on ITV. The public will vote on the performance and Sam will hope she is not one of the two bottom performers who must sing again tomorrow night to survive on the show.
