AN ARTILLERY museum is hosting a series of free fun events for children over the Easter holidays.

Military drill, crafts, films, meeting wartime characters and playing games, are just some of the fun activities due to be held at Firepower in the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, daily from 10.30 to 5pm during the school holidays.

Extra activities, at an additional cost of £1.50 per activity, include the Camo Zone where children can try their skill on the Firing Range, the Bungee Run challenge and battles in the Tank Command.

There is also the chance to use a genuine Second World War 25pound gun and everyone who fires gets a commemorative certificate.

The museum is the birthplace of the Royal Artillery, founded in 1716.

Admission costs £5 for adults, £2.50 for children and £4.50 for concessions. Discounted family tickets are also available.
