The crossing will be closed for ongoing maintenance works

Drivers heading in and out of Kent via the Dartford Crossing are set for another week of disruption.

Maintenance work from Highways England will see the west tunnel closed every night bar Sunday from 9pm to 5.30am.

During the closures, junction 1a at Swanscombe’s northbound entry slip will be closed, with a signed diversion taking motorists back to join at junction 1b at Erith.

Then on Sunday night, the east tunnel will be closed from 9pm to 5.30am.

Oversized vehicles will have a fully signed diversion in place during Sunday night’s closures.

For motorists heading into Kent from Essex, the QEII Bridge will have three lanes closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am, from Monday night to Friday night.

This is to allow inspection surveys to be carried out.
