BOSSES of a waste company are refusing to reveal how a mutilated body was discovered at their incinerator.

Police were called to the incinerator in Frognal Avenue, Sidcup, last Friday at 5.30pm, to what was reported to be the headless body of a woman.

But police claim they ceased their homicide investigation after someone from SRLC, formerly White Rose Environmental, identified the body. No arrests have been made and police say they have completed their investigation and are no longer treating it as suspicious. A police spokesperson said: "The incident is non-suspicious and as such there will be no further police involvement." The incinerator disposes of clinical and non-clinical waste from neighbouring Queen Mary's Hospital (QMS) as well as a number of other organisations and business. A spokesperson for QMS said: "I can neither confirm or deny where the human remains came from - only the private company that runs the incinerator can give you this information. The hospital does not use the incinerator for anything. We have a contract with SRCL who run and operate this facility.
