A DANGEROUS resident was jailed for seven years after police raid revealed a stash of weapons at his home. Lawrence Kelsey, 51, of Longcroft, New Eltham, was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court last Friday for his possession of a loaded shotgun, replica guns and a stunt-gun.

Greenwich police's Violent and Serious Organised Crime Unit (VSOC) collected intelligence on Kelsey before the raid last September. Detective Inspector Brian Willis said the unit would be carrying out similar raids to "eradicate gun crime" in Greenwich.

Kelsey, who had a Rottweiler removed from his home, had not been paying his rent to Greenwich council which gave £1 million towards the VSOC.
