The website is available for older people with care needs

Bexley Council has set up an online information hub to support older people with care needs and their carers.

The Bexley Care Hub can help visitors find out about local services and activities, and help residents fill out a self-assessment of their own social care needs.

The assessment attempts to offer a personalised care summary, helping residents find support services available.

Visitors will also be able to report concerns with care and find out the council’s responsibilities on preventing abuse or harm to vulnerable adults.

Eileen Pallen, Bexley’s cabinet member for adults’ services, said: “Quite often people say they do not know what services and activities are available for them, so the Bexley Care Hub is a really positive step forward.”
