Welling United climbed into the top half of the Conference with a 1-0 win at bottom club Hyde.
Midfielder Joe Healy scored the only goal of the game shortly before half-time in a match short on goal mouth action.
Healy headed in a cross from Jake Gallagher after 37 minutes, leaving Hyde goalkeeper Nick Liversedge with no chance.
Welling goalkeeper Lee Butcher was barely troubled for most of the match, but pulled off a stunning save with seven minutes remaining to preserve the visitors’ lead.
Ross Lafayette, Loui Fazakerley and substitute Loick Pires had all wasted chances to make the game safe, the latter being denied by a fine save from Liversedge.
Back-to-back victories leaves Welling in 11th after their first 10 games back in the Conference Premier.
Welling were due to welcome third bottom Aldershot to Park View Road on Tuesday as they looked to continue their winning run.
Manager Jamie Day has urged fans to support them at home games as he seeks to raise attendances.
He said: “We were a bit disappointed with the gate against Forest Green Rovers. If we want to improve the budget or take the club forward then we need to get 700 or 800 through the gates.
“If we don’t then we are going to stand still as a club.”
