Two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary and assault

Police have arrested two men inside a house after being called to a burglary in Welling.

Officers were called to the burglary in progress at an address in Upper Wickham Lane at 11.45am on September 23.

When they arrived, they found two men at the address and arrested them on suspicion of burglary and assault.

A 28-year-old man was taken to a south London hospital suffering from injuries to his face and torso. He subsequently accepted a police caution for possession of cannabis.

The pair who were arrested, aged 25 and 24, remain in custody at a south London police station.
