Welling man charged over Millwall Wembley violence

A Welling man is one of nine who have been charged with violent disorder in connection with the trouble which marred Millwall Football Club’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on April 13.

John Kenny, 38, of Tyrrell Avenue, will appear before Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (May 22).

One man has been charged with breaching a football banning order.

Erith man Billy Phillips, 27, of Dale View, is due to go before the court on the same day having been charged with violent disorder and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply last month.

There have been more than 40 arrests to date.
