Welling United conceded two late goals to draw 3-3 with a young Southampton side at Park View Road last night (July 30).

Ryan Seagar scored two goals in the last five minutes to salvage a draw for the Saints after Welling put in a strong showing in their final home friendly before the start of the season.

The home side took the lead just after the half hour mark through Jake Gallagher and defender Blaine Hudson doubled the lead 10 minutes later.

Joe Curtis pulled one back just before half-time but Doug Bergqvist made it 3-1 after 64 minutes.

Just as it looked like Welling had done enough to secure the victory Seagar popped up with a double to snatch a draw.

Welling’s pre-season campaign comes to a close with visits to Thurrock tomorrow night (August 1) and Leatherhead on Saturday before the big kick-off at Wrexham the following Saturday (August 10).
