Welling United have signed one old and one new face for next season’s Conference Premier campaign.

Midfielder Joe Healy, who was one of the most important players in the team’s title campaign last season.

Healy is in his second spell with the Wings having rejoined in 2010. He scored 16 goals in 41 appearances last season, many of them from penalties and free-kicks.

Player-manager Jamie Day said: “Joe needs no introduction to our fans and was one of the best players in Conference South last season.”

Also heading to Park View Road is midfielder Alex Dyer, who is leaving north London side Wealdstone after they failed to win promotion to the Conference South last season.

Dyer started his career at league side Northampton Town before joining Wealdstone in 2010. He has also been capped twice at full international level for Caribbean island Montserrat.

The 22-year-old scored 32 goals in 128 appearances for his former side.

Day added: “Alex is someone we have admired for a while, he has great ability and is excited by the challenge of Conference Premier football next season.”
