Bexley Judo Club based at Sidcup Sports Club in Sydney Road, is hosting a women only course for beginners run by a British champion. Louise Dunsford, a World Masters Silver medallist in 2010, will begin teaching the courses on Sunday, January 22, from 3pm for an hour.

Ms Dunsford said: “I am really excited about running this course especially in the Olympic year.

“I’m in full training now working hard to run the London Marathon in April for Great Ormond Street Hospital. I hope to inspire all women all over the country to make a difference this year.”

Courses start at £60 and run for ten weeks. The price includes a Judo suit, membership to the British Judo Association and grading.
