Young girl hit by car in Belvedere

A young girl was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after being hit by a car in Belvedere on Saturday morning (June 29).

The incident happened in Victoria Street near the junction with Albert Street just before 10am and the youngster, who was thought to be between three and five years old, was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital.

She suffered leg injuries and they were not thought to be life-threatening.
