Young man in court on manslaughter charge

Six months since death

A young man will appear in court today charged with a manslaughter in Erith.

Desmond Bartley, 20, of Simnel Road, Eltham, was charged yesterday with the manslaughter of Tommy Main, of the Nursery. He will appear today in custody at Bexley Magistrates’ Court.

Mr Main, 23, died in hospital shortly after collapsing at 12.45am on Sunday, June 29 last year. The cause of death was given as cardiac arrest following a blunt impact to the chest.
